Trusted electrical contractor Volta Compliance has added thermal imaging and lightning protection testing to its growing service offering.
Leeds-based compliance specialist Volta helps businesses to manage and maintain safe, efficient electrical installations. It currently offers a range of solutions, including Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs), PAT testing, and fire alarm servicing, as well as EV charger installation, emergency lighting testing, commercial LED lighting, and support with ESOS (Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme) and SECR (Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting).
Volta has introduced the two new services as part of its drive to support clients with all aspects of electrical compliance, ensuring that they can pre-empt potentially disruptive faults and protect facilities against adverse weather.
Its thermal scanning service will help to reduce the risk of unexpected electrical network failures, identifying hotspots and hidden issues before they become a costly problem. Volta’s technicians use handheld devices to scan switchboards, fuse panels and control panels, and can detect faults in real-time.

Its new lightning protection testing will also help to guard against damage and downtime. Volta’s team can visually inspect and test lightning conductors, ensuring that they are functioning properly, and that buildings will be protected in the event of an electrical storm.
As part of this innovative approach to safety and compliance management, Volta has also developed its own customer portal. Featuring a user-friendly dashboard, it enables facilities managers to manage documentation – and keep track of their buildings’ compliance statuses – online.
Managing Director Richard Carr commented: “We are continually reviewing and developing our service offering to ensure that it meets our clients’ changing needs. I’m excited about the launch of these new services, which will help businesses to keep a check on their systems and protect their people and facilities.”
