Online Social Value measurement and reporting platform Social Value Portal (SVP) has licensed commercial real estate services firm Cushman & Wakefield to deliver its Social Value tool, RESVI – with data validation from SVP.
RESVI, which was the first global social certification to be accepted by GRESB in 2023, is a tool used for measuring, reporting and improving the Social Value generated by in-use real estate and infrastructure assets. It works by conducting a comprehensive diagnostic, grading and Social Value assessment, using data supplied by asset managers, property managers, key suppliers and key occupiers.
Cushman & Wakefield will use the tool to help its clients quantify, measure and validate Social Value contributions – enabling them to differentiate in the eyes of investors, planning authorities and other key stakeholders.
As well as providing users with the ability to accurately capture Social Value, it is a powerful tool in engaging with stakeholders, reporting a social return on investment and providing a performance benchmark to drive further improvements.
Guy Battle, CEO, Social Value Portal, said: ‘Partnering with Cushman & Wakefield to deliver our RESVI tool to clients is a milestone moment in our mission to support the real estate sector on its Social Value journey.
‘The tool will ultimately help the team to drive further positive change, demonstrating the power and potential of Social Value in the built environment.’
Rhiannon Jones, Sustainability Associate, Cushman & Wakefield added: ‘We are looking forward to using the RESVI tool not only to help our customers drive positive societal change, but also to be able to confidently report on their Social Value achievements with complete transparency and accuracy.”
SVP, which also provides its members with support and consulting services, has already delivered in-house training for the team at Cushman & Wakefield and will continue to work closely with the organisation in its use of the RESVI tool.
