VIVO celebrates one year anniversary working for Dstl

VIVO Defence Services has reached its one-year anniversary milestone supporting the UK Government’s Defence, Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) – successfully completing tens of thousands of maintenance tasks over the past 12-months.

Hard FM provider VIVO started providing all reactive and planned maintenance, grounds’ maintenance, and billable works projects for the government agency at its southwest sites on 1st December 2023.

Dstl provides the science inside UK defence and security and has its headquarters, near Salisbury, Wiltshire.

VIVO – which carries out the work on behalf of the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), part of the Ministry of Defence (MoD) – has also delivered a large number of billable works projects. These are bespoke projects outside of the routine maintenance tasks required.

Jerry Moloney, Chief Executive Officer at VIVO, said: “We are incredibly proud to be working for such an important government agency as Dstl. I would like to thank our team for the immense amount of work they have completed and the good feedback we have received since starting one year ago.

“We certainly are looking forward to continuing our close collaborative work with Dstl over the coming years and helping to enable defence capability in such a crucial area. Well done to all.”

The work at Dstl was awarded to VIVO as part of the Future Defence Infrastructure Services (FDIS) contract for hard FM services for all UK defence sites on the Built Estate across the southwest region.

VIVO – which works for the UK military and its partners – also oversees hard FM services on all Built Estate military sites in the central region.

In addition to this, it provides maintenance and billable works for Service Family Accommodation in the southwest and southeast, Hard FM and Asset Management across eight main and three affiliated United States Visiting Forces (USVF) sites in England and for eight of the 13 UK regions of the MoD’s Volunteer Estate.

All this work makes VIVO – which started operations in 2022 – one of the largest providers of estate services to the MoD in the United Kingdom.
