Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has officially launched a new independent Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) service, expanding its fire safety offering to meet rising compliance demands across the UK built environment.
Delivered by Leeds-based fire specialist NEO, part of the wider PTSG Fire Solutions division, the new service is designed to provide fully impartial assessments in line with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, which requires all non-domestic premises to undertake regular, compliant fire risk evaluations.
The move comes as regulatory scrutiny intensifies across both public and private sector estates, with failure to conduct valid assessments carrying the risk of legal penalties, fines or imprisonment. The new FRA service will ensure that duty holders can confidently meet their statutory responsibilities with the backing of objective, third-party expertise.
Led by Sector Specialists
The launch is headed by Steven Doherty, Managing Director at NEO, and Tracy Gregory, Fire Risk Assessment General Manager – both long-established figures in the field of fire safety. Together, they bring a wealth of knowledge and operational leadership to a service that aims to instil clarity, accuracy and compliance at every stage.
The pair will work closely with teams at newly acquired UK Safety Management (UKSM), also based in Leeds, to deliver assessments to clients nationwide and explore cross-service opportunities within the wider PTSG Fire Solutions portfolio.
Responding to Market Need
Speaking about the new service, Brendan McNulty, Managing Director of PTSG Fire Solutions, said: “This marks an important progression in our commitment to providing best-in-class fire safety support. With greater scrutiny on building safety than ever before, it’s essential that businesses have access to credible, independent assessments. This new offer reinforces our leadership in this space.”
Steven Doherty added: “Tracy and I are proud to lead a service designed around integrity, compliance and technical rigour. It’s not just about checking boxes – it’s about delivering actionable insights that help keep people and property safe.”
With demand for fire consultancy services expected to grow significantly in line with new safety legislation and post-Grenfell reform, PTSG’s latest move positions it as a key player in shaping the future of fire compliance across the UK estate.
