NG Bailey drives forward with electric vehicle charging launch

Following a series of successfully completed projects, NG Bailey has announced the expansion of its electric vehicle infrastructure service, as it meets the increasing needs of businesses and wider society looking for vehicle charging solutions.

The dedicated business unit, a first for a company in NG Bailey’s sector, comes as sales of electric vehicles continue to increase and as new legislation requires new build homes, workplaces, supermarkets and buildings undergoing major renovations to install electric vehicle charging points from later this year.

Headed by Darren Slade, operations director within NG Bailey’s Facilities Services division, the business unit offers an end-to-end electric vehicle infrastructure and solutions service.

Tim Simmons, Managing Director of NG Bailey’s Services Division, said: “As part of the UK Government’s commitment towards net zero emissions by 2050, and the phasing out of new petrol and diesel car sales by 2030, we are seeing a rapid drive towards a cleaner, greener and more responsible energy future.

“As part of this agenda, we are seeing increased demand from both new and existing customers for electric charging solutions, as they drive towards lowering their carbon emissions and impact on the environment.

“NG Bailey has a huge amount of expertise and skills to meet these requirements and offer a comprehensive end-to-end solution as well as helping to meet our own responsibility strategy and wider society goals.”

Offering national coverage through an experienced delivery team, capabilities include consultancy, feasibility study and design, commissioning and infrastructure installation, cellular and network connectivity, and ongoing maintenance and aftercare.

Darren Slade added: “As a multi-faceted Group, NG Bailey has a unique offering with the ability to leverage skills from both our Engineering and Services teams to provide a complete electric vehicle solution from consultation right through to installation and ongoing maintenance.

“Having most recently installed charging points at our own Leeds office, we have already completed several electric vehicle projects for customers, and we are excited about the opportunities and positive impact this new business unit will bring on a number of fronts, including the environment.”
