| Arcus FM marks five years of RoSPA Gold recognition alongside Fleet Safety Gold, underpinned by reductions in RIDDOR incidents and accidents |
| Arcus FM has achieved two RoSPA Awards, securing the Gold Medal Award for Health and Safety following five consecutive years of RoSPA Gold performance, alongside Gold for Fleet Safety. The recognition comes after a year of continued safety improvement, including a 25% reduction in RIDDOR incidents and a 13% reduction in all work-related accidents. Hazard spots remained high, continuing to provide insight into risk across the business. The awards recognise health, safety and fleet performance across a national FM business supporting complex customer estates through mobile engineers, resident teams, soft services colleagues and support functions. Arcus’ approach is shaped by visible leadership, colleague engagement, practical risk management and continued investment in training and communication. Fleet safety remained a key focus in 2025, with the introduction of a full van audit process and an internal Driver Awareness Week campaign. The van audit process covers vehicles, tools, equipment, statutory inspections and van stock, supporting compliance and safer working for colleagues travelling between customer sites. The recognition comes in the 70th year of the RoSPA Awards, which celebrate organisations that demonstrate high standards in health and safety management. Julia Small, RoSPA’s Growth Director, said: “RoSPA congratulates Arcus FM on its RoSPA Health and Safety Award. The high standards Arcus has achieved are the result of hard work and dedication, of which Arcus should be rightfully proud and which RoSPA is delighted to honour. “2026 is a landmark year for the RoSPA Awards as we reflect on how far workplace safety has come in 70 years. It is because of the commitment of health and safety leaders like Arcus that people today are safer at work than in the past, and sets an inspiring example for the future.” Vicky Downham, HSQE Director at Arcus FM, said: “Getting everyone home safely is the priority behind our health and safety approach. Achieving RoSPA Gold for five consecutive years shows the consistency of that commitment across Arcus. “This year’s results are particularly important. A 25% reduction in RIDDOR incidents, fewer accidents and injuries, and an increase in hazard spot reporting show the progress being made and the role colleagues play in identifying risk before incidents occur. “To achieve the RoSPA Gold Medal Award for Health and Safety, alongside Gold for Fleet Safety, is something we are incredibly proud of. It reflects the standards our colleagues uphold every day, from our mobile teams and resident engineers to our soft services, fleet, HSQE and support teams.” |
