PTSG has secured a contract to deliver critical compliance and safety services at a prominent acute hospital in Berkshire, acting through its specialist divisions Guardian Electrical Compliance and Trinity Fire & Security.
The hospital, managed by one of the region’s largest NHS Foundation Trusts, serves a wide catchment area across western and central Berkshire and operates an extensive estate with more than 800 inpatient beds, additional day-beds, and a workforce exceeding 7,500. Its built environment spans a mix of historic and modern facilities, including Grade II* listed structures alongside contemporary clinical buildings.
Under the contract, Guardian engineers have completed fixed wire testing — also known as electrical installation condition reporting — designed to identify and mitigate ageing electrical risks such as fire and electric shock. Emergency lighting testing is scheduled to start shortly.
Complementing the electrical compliance work, PTSG Fire Solutions is delivering fire damper inspections and testing. Regular damper maintenance supports compartmentation and helps restrict the spread of fire and smoke — a key regulatory requirement for complex buildings.
The assignment underscores PTSG’s capability to manage multi-disciplinary compliance programmes within live healthcare settings while maintaining continuity of service. Using accredited methodologies and experienced personnel, the group continues to support safe, compliant operations across critical infrastructure assets.
