PTSG has secured a new contract to deliver specialist fire damper mapping and inspection services across nine sites operated by an NHS Trust in the East of England. The works will be delivered through PTSG’s Fire Solutions division by its constituent company, Indepth.
The Trust provides mental health, learning disability, autism and social care services to a population of more than 768,000 people and employs around 2,700 staff across its clinical and support services. Fire safety compliance across its diverse estate is a critical priority in maintaining safe and resilient healthcare environments.
During the first six months of the contract, Indepth will undertake a comprehensive survey and verification programme to map all fire dampers across the Trust’s buildings. The exercise will validate existing asset records, identify gaps or discrepancies, and create a robust and accurate fire damper register. Where required, ceiling tiles and access panels will be removed to allow full drop testing, with all access reinstated on completion.
The scope also includes surveying associated ductwork and recording damper types, operating mechanisms and overall condition. Any fusible link-operated fire dampers identified will be reported as a priority for consideration of replacement. Each damper will be precisely located using the Trust’s coding system, with new asset labels applied where none currently exist.
The contract further strengthens PTSG’s presence within the healthcare sector and demonstrates Indepth’s capability to deliver large-scale, compliant passive fire inspection programmes that support regulatory assurance, patient safety and long-term estate management.
