Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been awarded a new contract to deliver specialist fire safety services for Norfolk County Council, further strengthening the Group’s presence within the UK public sector compliance market.
The contract will be delivered through PTSG constituent businesses Indepth Services and System Hygienics, bringing together expertise in passive fire protection and ventilation hygiene to support fire safety compliance across the Council’s estate.
Norfolk County Council is the upper-tier authority for the county, responsible for a wide range of services including education, highways, adult social care and public buildings. Its estate spans numerous operational environments, making effective and consistent fire safety management critical to protecting occupants and maintaining service continuity.
Under the agreement, PTSG engineers will provide fire door services and ventilation cleaning across council sites. Fire doors play a vital role in compartmentation and life safety, while ventilation and kitchen extract cleaning is essential in reducing fire risk, improving airflow efficiency and preventing the build-up of grease and contaminants.
Poorly maintained ventilation systems are a recognised fire hazard, particularly in commercial kitchens. In addition to increasing ignition risk, grease accumulation restricts airflow, leading to overheating, excessive humidity, ineffective removal of fumes and the spread of odours throughout a building. Regular cleaning and inspection is therefore a key element of any robust fire safety strategy.
By combining the specialist capabilities of Indepth Services and System Hygienics, PTSG is able to offer an integrated, scalable solution that supports compliance, operational safety and long-term asset protection.
