Property compliance specialist Inspectas has celebrated 10 years in business with four new appointments, a senior promotion and a move into new premises.
The 40-strong business has expanded its team with the appointment of Major Projects, Fire and Compliance chief operating officer Neil Triggs, Fire Compliance Services divisional lead Michael Shone, Health & Safety divisional lead Naveed Mohammed, senior director Land Remediation Andrew Ford and the promotion of Fiona Lindsay to operations director.
With a decade working in the public and private sectors specialising in asbestos surveys and removal, health and safety compliance, fire safety and land remediation, the company has recently moved to new premises in Leeds, doubling its office space to allow further team and departmental growth.
Mr Triggs said: “Legal compliance around fire safety is becoming increasingly complex particularly following the Grenfell tragedy. My role, supported by our new Fire Compliance Divisional Lead Michael Shone, is to develop our fire safety division and lead our team of fire safety consultants and surveyors to demystify the property compliance process for all businesses and take the worry out of navigating the regulations.”
Mr Mohammed has 23 years of experience in construction consultancy, construction design and management (CDM) regulations and asbestos, Fire Compliance Services divisional lead Michael Shone brings 26 years’ experience as a fire fighter, risk assessor, inspector and senior project manager, while senior director of Land Remediation Andrew Ford has specialised in the remediation of invasive weeds alongside land clearance and preparation. Ms Lindsay’s promotion follows eight years with the company and 15 years of experience within the asbestos industry.
The company was formed in 2013 by asbestos management professionals Craig Candlish and Matthew Fahy, who felt the industry had become slow moving and had a reputation for being unreliable. In a bid to become a transformational force in the sector, they combined their expertise to launch Inspectas Compliance and today have a portfolio of more than 150 clients in the education, healthcare, retail, construction and industrial sectors.
Mr Candlish said: “After a decade specialising in raising asbestos compliance and management standards across the UK, our move into our new premises and the appointment of Neil, Michael, Naveed and Andrew, alongside Fiona’s promotion, reflects our commitment to developing our services even further with an additional focus on health and safety, fire safety and land remediation across multiple sectors.
“In this, our 10th anniversary year, we are delighted to continue our strategy of bringing the very best property and land compliance practitioners into the Inspectas family and increasing our capacity to deliver trusted expertise in areas of significant concern for businesses.”
