Ali Hulley, Head of Retail & Marketing for ISS’ UK Food business, has won Contract Catering Magazine’s Rising Star Award, which recognises emerging talent under the age of thirty in the contract catering sector.
Judges were looking for the industry’s leaders of the future and concluded Ali’s credentials outshone the competition.
Ali has made significant progress in roles across the industry throughout her career and, despite still being in her twenties, has already shown she has what it takes to establish herself as a leader in the sector. Progressing from business development roles to marketing and brand positions, her enthusiasm and commitment have contributed to impressive personal growth and major achievements for the organisations she has worked for.
Upon joining ISS in late 2020, Ali introduced a robust ‘back to work’ marketing programme for ISS’ business and industry clients, created to support new and emerging consumer needs. Initiatives included a holistic health and wellbeing approach, followed by the launch of Unity Coffee – a new concept introduced to encourage collaboration and reignite company culture.
The judges were impressed by Ali’s passion for ensuring contract catering remains relevant and viable in a post-covid world and her ability to harness opportunities presented by the ‘new normal’ to devise and execute impactful solutions.
Ali Hulley, Rising Star Award winner, said: “I’m absolutely chuffed to receive Contract Catering Magazine’s Rising Star Award. It’s a real honour to be recognised by the industry, especially alongside the other fantastic winners and nominees. After an incredibly challenging time for contract caterers, I think we’re at an exciting turning point – full of opportunity. I can’t wait to see how our industry evolves over the coming months and years and am so proud to be a part of it.”
Stephen Jenkins, Head of Food at ISS UK, commented: “On behalf the whole Food team at ISS – a massive well done to Ali on this fantastic achievement. Ali was up against other impressive rising stars from across the contract catering world, and it was tough competition. Her input since joining ISS has been extremely valuable and has been recognised by colleagues and clients alike. We’re incredibly proud of her and look forward to seeing her continue to flourish.”
