Planon has acquired a majority share in Ubigreen, a proptech company headquartered in Toulouse, France. It is dedicated to energy performance and workspace optimisation, and has selected Planon “to accompany it in its venture”, according to this morning’s release.
Planon’s investment allows Ubigreen to benefit from its expertise, accelerate its international expansion and strengthen its market position. The partnership is designed to add strategic capabilities to its energy and sustainability management software offering and reinforces its ecosystem of digital solutions for smart sustainable building management.
Planon founder and chief executive officer Pierre Guelen stated: ‘Around the world, companies of every size are facing the challenge to reduce the environmental impact of their buildings and deliver on the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals and net-zero carbon emission targets as recommended or required by authorities.’
Ubigreen general director Pierre-Olivier Bessol said: ‘This is a great opportunity for us to join forces with Planon: we will be able to benefit from the expertise of a renowned international group to develop Ubigreen’s offers. With this alliance we aim to advance our shared objective on smart sustainable buildings to support our customers in this major transformation towards more eco-responsible real estate, at the service of its occupants.’
