Swindon-headquartered Nanogreen Sustainable Cleaning has acquired domestic and commercial specialist Thomas Cleaning, in a move that will allow it to extend its operational reach and bring its social and environmental mission to new communities.
As part of the recent acquisition, Nanogreen has taken on Thomas Cleaning’s locations in Leamington Spa, Chipping Norton and Salisbury, enabling it to better serve clients across Warwickshire, Oxfordshire and Wiltshire.
The company’s new locations will also help to reduce the distance operatives must travel to jobs in the West Midlands, South East and South West, bolstering its sustainability efforts.
Nanogreen (whose team grew from 15 to 45 following the acquisition) will deliver cleaning and soft facilities management services in these regions, replicating the holistic, sustainable model it successfully developed in Swindon.
As well as using environmentally friendly, sustainable and recyclable cleaning products, Nanogreen also provides job opportunities for individuals facing barriers to employment.
The growing business partners with a range of charities and social enterprises in Swindon, employing and supporting people who have previously struggled to find work. It now hopes to do the same in Leamington Spa, Chipping Norton and Salisbury.
Co-owner and director Chris Horgan commented: “We’re delighted to have acquired Thomas Cleaning; it gives us a lot of opportunities, both in terms of growth and our values as a business.
“We are committed to having a positive environmental and social impact, and now have access to more areas in which we can make a real difference. We’re also looking forward to helping more businesses meet their own CSR goals.”
