The Shard welcomes new tenants Cognism and Rider Levett Bucknall

The Shard is set to welcome two new tenants in premium sales intelligence technology company, Cognism and global construction, property and management consultancy, Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB).

The new occupiers are taking a combined 30,000 sq ft of office space on Level 11 at The Shard. They will join a vibrant business community that is now home to more than 30 companies across a variety of business sectors including energy, retail, technology, finance, professional services, education and healthcare.

Cognism is relocating to The Shard from their nearby office space in Borough Yards. The sales and marketing technology company will be occupying 13,153 sq ft of fitted and furnished space on Level 11 North at The Shard, which has been let on an eight-year term.

The letting has been brokered by Real Estate Management (UK) Limited (REM) with support from agents Knight Frank and JLL. Cognism was represented by Found. From start to finish, the transaction was completed in an impressively short period, taking just over five weeks.

RLB moved to The Shard in June, from 110 Bishopsgate to occupy 16,875 sq ft of fitted space on Level 11 South, through an assignment from existing occupier Merit Group, who remain in the building on Level 9. RLB provides built environment consultancy services, operating in over 40 countries with over 4,000 employees.

Michael Baker, CEO of REM, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming two new occupiers to our business community here at The Shard. The office space within the building creates an environment that encourages dynamic companies like Cognism and RLB to grow, and their workforce to thrive.

“With unique floor plates on each level, their staff will enjoy natural light and individual views of the city through floor-to-ceiling glazing. Inspiration will surround them, from the architectural beauty of the building itself and the views across London to the modern workspaces and irresistible buzz of the vibrant Shard Quarter area. The Shard’s position at London Bridge will also offer them unmatched transport links in all directions.”

There is still an opportunity for companies seeking to grow their business to take the sole remaining space on Level 9. The floor, which offers WiredScore’s highest-awarded level of internet connectivity and floor-to-ceiling glazed windows with fantastic views, currently has 15,312 sq ft of newly refurbished, open-plan office on the south side of the building.
