The official opening took place on 18 September, and guests and key industry figures were welcomed to the celebration.

The Lord Mayor of Sheffield Colin Ross cut the ribbon on the new development and emphasised the importance of regeneration projects like The Ironworks and how they contribute to the city’s greener future.

His attendance at the event underscores Sheffield’s dedication to sustainable urban development and the city’s support for projects that enhance the well-being of its residents.

The grand opening ceremony was attended by local dignitaries, representatives from Rise Homes, Taconova UK, and other key stakeholders.

Property specialists Rise Homes developed the new apartments, and the company’s CEO Nigel Rawlings attended the celebration to explain more about the apartments’ unique design elements that embrace the city’s rich industrial heritage.

Taconoiva Group managing director Ralph Seewald and general manager Behfar Abedinia talked about how the company supports customers with sustainable heating technology, and provided more details about the TacoTherm H 3000E heating solution that is integrated within the development.

Mr Rawlings said: “We are very proud to have completed The Ironworks in Sheffield, providing an attractive modern living space in the heart of the city. The development is a superb urban apartment scheme which embraces the city’s industrial heritage, and we are delighted to see how much interest it has already attracted.”
