Circular economy business recruits business development executive

Reuse service provider Ramco has welcomed Samantha Gillespie to its growing team as senior business development executive.

She brings more than 25 years’ experience of working with SMEs and collaborating with major organisations such as Serco, CBRE, Sainsbury’s, the NHS and universities and colleges.

Ms Gillespie joins at a time when the second-hand market has seen growth and demand for pre-used products at the company’s auctions is continuing to grow.

Business development manager Teddy Townsend said: “At Ramco we pride ourselves on taking our clients’ headaches away – we offer a full and tailored reuse solution helping businesses unlock precious value in equipment they no longer need. We handle everything from decommissioning, collection, and refurbishment, right through to storage, marketing, and sales.

“Sam brings a wealth of knowledge and a genuine passion for helping clients, making her a valuable addition to the Ramco family. She’ll be supporting our clients to make more of their redundant equipment – reducing their carbon footprint, minimising storage costs and generating a financial return from resale.”

Ms Gillespie said: “I’m thrilled to join Ramco, and at such an exciting time too. With the circular economy gaining momentum and businesses accelerating their sustainability agendas in a race to net zero, Ramco’s mission to give every surplus asset a new lease of life is more important than ever.”
