Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been contracted to provide specialist Electrical Services at Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley, West Scotland.
As the main hospital in Paisley, it serves a large catchment area stretching all the way to Oban and Argyll. The hospital is managed by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
The hospital has 760 staffed beds. It contains the only consultant-led maternity unit for the upper Clyde area, after the maternity wards at Inverclyde Royal Hospital and Vale of Leven Hospital became midwife-led in 2003.
In this contract, engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd will carry out a test and inspection of the lightning protection system in place at the hospital. This is a mandatory periodic test required by law, which PTSG’s specialist carry out at many hospitals and health providers, as well as buildings in virtually every other industry sector.
PTSG Electrical Services Ltd combines the talent and experience of some of the UK’s leading practitioners in their field. In lightning protection, this includes JW Gray – dating back to 1835, it is believed to be the oldest trading service provider of its kind in the UK, possibly even in Europe. Further companies acquired in the south-west, north-west, midlands and Scotland give PTSG a national reach.
