David Stevens appointed Vice President of CIBSE

David Stevens CEng FCIBSE, Director of Estates for the East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT), has been appointed as Vice President of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE). David is the first Vice President with an estates and facilities bias in 20 years, marking a significant milestone for the FM sector.

CIBSE is a professional engineering institution that exists to advance and promote the art, science and practice of building services engineering, to invest in education and research, and to support the community of built environment professionals in their pursuit of excellence.

David brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his new role. He currently serves as the Chair of the CIBSE Facilities Management (FM) Group and the CIBSE LGBTQI Panel, demonstrating his commitment to both professional excellence and inclusivity within the industry. Additionally, David is a Fellow of both the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM) and the Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management (IHEEM), serving as a long standing judge for the IWFM Awards and as a member of the IHEEM Diversity and Inclusion Working Group
