Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has successfully completed a specialist electrical services contract for the Norfolk Wildlife Trust at one of the region’s most scenic conservation sites.
The project saw engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd journey by boat across Hickling Broad – a 600-hectare nature reserve northeast of Norwich – to access an isolated observation tower. The team carried out a full test and inspection of the lightning protection system installed at the site.
Founded in 1926, Norfolk Wildlife Trust is the oldest of 46 wildlife trusts operating across the UK and surrounding islands. It is responsible for managing more than 50 nature reserves and protected sites and works with over 35,000 members and eight local groups to safeguard local biodiversity.
With a national reputation for excellence in electrical compliance, PTSG is the UK’s leading provider of lightning and surge protection services. Its engineers deliver design, installation, testing, upgrade and repair work on a wide variety of systems, supported by a dedicated power earthing division.
Speaking about the unique setting for the project, a spokesperson for PTSG said: “Hickling Broad provided a truly tranquil and rewarding environment to deliver this essential compliance work. It’s not every day that our engineers get to conduct inspections surrounded by reed beds and bird song.”
The completed work forms part of PTSG’s ongoing commitment to supporting clients in maintaining safe, compliant and resilient infrastructure – wherever they operate.
