Prime Facility Services, a leading provider of facility management solutions, is proud to announce it has been awarded a significant three-year contract with the Matrix Academy Trust, effective August 2025. The contract encompasses regular and holiday cleaning services across eight schools within the West Midlands-based trust.
This substantial win will see over 100 staff members transfer to Prime Facility Services under TUPE regulations, further strengthening the company’s dedicated team. Prime Facility Services will assume full responsibility for maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across all Matrix Academy Trust properties.
The contract was secured following a detailed and rigorous tender process, expertly managed by Kevin Gould of NCC Consultants. The process commenced with an initial advertisement, which led to a shortlist of six highly qualified companies. The top three highest-scoring candidates were then invited to present their proposals directly to the Trust. Prime Facility Services emerged as the preferred partner due to its proven expertise and commitment to service excellence.
Gary Smart, Head of Capital and Compliance at Matrix Academy Trust, expressed his enthusiasm for the new partnership. “We are delighted to welcome Prime Facility Services as our preferred contractor for cleaning services”. Ritchie Doidge; Matrix Academy Trust Chief Operations Officer added “We are confident that this partnership will enhance the positive, safe, and well-maintained environments that are so important to our pupils, staff, and wider school communities. Safeguarding remains at the heart of everything we do at Matrix Academy Trust, and we are pleased to be working with a contractor who shares this priority and understands the importance of maintaining secure and nurturing spaces for young people. We look forward to a successful and collaborative relationship.”
David Edwards, CEO of Prime Facility Services, shared his team’s excitement about the new venture. “All my team at Prime are thrilled and excited to win this prestigious local contract,” commented Edwards. “It comes after months of hard work and is a testament to all our staff who work in the education sector, where we have built up a tremendous reputation. We look forward to welcoming all the new staff to our business later this year.”
This contract marks a significant milestone for Prime Facility Services, reinforcing its position as a trusted and capable partner for educational institutions in the region.
