Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been appointed to provide specialist lightning protection services at a new residential scheme in Romford, Essex.
Located in the heart of Harold Hill, the Roe Wood Park development is surrounded by green space, with Central Park and The Manor Nature Reserve on its doorstep. The site will also benefit from newly created public open space, further enhancing its natural setting. Offering a mix of two- and three-bedroom homes, the development is expected to appeal to a range of residents, from first-time buyers and families to London-bound commuters.
As part of its contract, engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd will install lightning protection systems to safeguard the homes and their occupants against the risk of electrical storms. According to the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), the UK experiences between 300,000 and 400,000 lightning strikes each year, with a small but serious number resulting in injury or fatality.
PTSG is the UK’s leading provider of lightning protection services. Its engineers specialise in the design, installation, testing, inspection and maintenance of lightning and surge protection systems, as well as delivering power earthing solutions across a wide range of sectors.
The contract at Roe Wood Park supports PTSG’s commitment to keeping buildings and residents safe, while contributing to the long-term resilience of the UK’s housing stock.
