Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG), through its constituent company Trinity Fire & Security Systems, has been awarded a contract to deliver specialist fire and security systems at Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
The works, scheduled to begin in early 2026, will see Trinity’s engineers install advanced life safety and security systems for the hospital’s new Emergency Department and Critical Care Unit. The project is being delivered in partnership with main contractor Tilbury Douglas.
Located in Dorchester, Dorset County Hospital has been serving the community since the late 1980s, following a phased move from the old Dorchester Hospital site. Officially opened by the Queen in 1998, the hospital has since undergone significant upgrades, including a modernised cardiac unit in 2012.
This latest development forms part of the government’s New Hospital Programme, a national initiative to modernise NHS facilities and improve care for future generations. Once complete, the expanded emergency and critical care facilities will enhance capacity and deliver faster, more effective treatment for patients in Dorset and the surrounding areas.
