Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has secured a contract, via Altrad-Babcock, to deliver specialist lightning protection installations for GSK at the company’s manufacturing facility in Montrose, East Scotland.
GSK plc is a leading British multinational biopharmaceutical company headquartered in London, focused on developing innovative medicines and vaccines across key therapeutic areas including oncology, HIV, respiratory and infectious diseases.
The Montrose site employs around 400 people and plays a critical role within GSK’s global manufacturing network. It produces active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) – the essential components in medicines responsible for their therapeutic effects.
Under the new contract, engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd will design and install a comprehensive lightning protection system, ensuring the highest level of safety for both personnel and infrastructure in the event of electrical storms.
