Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been appointed by Muir Construction to deliver specialist Access & Safety systems at a major new Amazon distribution centre in Dundee.
The project – known as Amazon UK DDD1 – represents a significant addition to Amazon’s logistics network, supporting operations across Scotland’s east coast. The purpose-built 144,000 sq ft warehouse has been developed with a strong focus on sustainability and community engagement, aligning with Amazon’s ongoing corporate social responsibility commitments.
Engineers from PTSG Access & Safety Ltd will install close to a mile of fall protection systems, including 600 metres of Kingspan fixed guardrail and 900 metres of Kingspan walkway. The installation will ensure safe and compliant access for maintenance teams working at height throughout the facility.
Falls from height remain one of the leading causes of workplace fatalities in the UK, accounting for over 30% of deaths each year.
