Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has secured a new contract with FES Group to provide specialist electrical services at Edinburgh Airport, Scotland’s busiest air hub.
The airport, located in the Ingliston area of the capital, handled more than 15 million passengers in 2024 – a 36 per cent rise on 2022 figures. Serving over 150 global destinations via 35 airlines, it remains one of the UK’s most significant gateways for international travel.
Under the new contract, engineers from PTSG’s Lightning Protection Installations Division will design and install site-wide earthing and lightning protection systems to ensure the highest levels of safety and compliance across the airport.
PTSG is the UK’s leading provider of lightning protection solutions, covering the full lifecycle of systems – from design and installation through to inspection, testing, and maintenance.
The company’s Electrical Services Division also delivers large-scale programmes of electrical testing, including more than 4.5 million portable appliance tests (PAT) in 2024, along with fixed wire inspections and electric vehicle charging installations.
