Mitie Security has retained its long-standing partnership with REM following a successful competitive retender, securing a five-year contract to deliver security and intelligence services across four prestigious properties, including at The Shard, Shard Quarter, and in Central London.
The contract, which is worth seven figures per annum, will see Mitie continue to provide 24/7 security operations, industry-leading training and development, intelligence and horizon scanning, and a solution designed to enhance occupier and visitor experience.
Building on its position as the UK’s leading intelligence-led, technology-enabled security provider, Mitie will introduce several innovations under the new contract, including:
- A bespoke and dedicated intelligence service to deliver property-specific horizon scanning, risk insight, and
- The implementation of new technologies to support Risk and Incident Management, mass communication and management reporting
- A forward-looking roadmap to deliver continuous improvement and added value to REM’s tenants and residents which will explore our expertise in Technical Security Counter Measures (TSCM), and the WalkSafe personal safety app
There is currently a team of over 150 security professionals working across the portfolio.
