Envirotech Facilities Management Ltd has officially announced its status as a Certified B Corporation™, joining a global movement of businesses legally committed to balancing profit with social and environmental purpose.
The certification, awarded by the non-profit B Lab, confirms that Envirotech FM meets rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. This milestone formalises the company’s long-standing principles of ethical service delivery and responsible operations within the Facilities Management (FM) sector.
The Five Pillars of Impact
To achieve certification, Envirotech FM underwent an extensive evaluation across five key impact areas. This framework ensures that the company’s operations benefit not just shareholders, but all stakeholders.
| Impact Area | Focus of Commitment |
| Governance | Transparent practices and responsible, ethical decision-making. |
| Workers | Fair pay, employee wellbeing, and professional development opportunities. |
| Community | Driving positive social impact beyond the immediate organisation. |
| Environment | Reducing the corporate footprint and advancing sustainable operations. |
| Customers | Delivering responsible, high-quality, and transparent services. |
A Legal Commitment to “Purpose Over Profit”
Unlike traditional corporate structures, B Corps are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on their workers, customers, suppliers, community, and the environment. Envirotech FM has formalised this by adopting stakeholder governance, ensuring the company remains accountable to its social and environmental mission as it grows.
A spokesperson for Envirotech FM stated that the certification is viewed not as a final achievement, but as a “public and ongoing promise” to embrace continuous improvement and contribute positively to the planet.
“This certification formalises principles that have long been part of Envirotech FM: ethical service delivery, responsible operations, and a belief that business should make a positive contribution to society.”
Looking Ahead to 2026
As the company moves into 2026, it has outlined a clear roadmap for its post-certification journey. Key priorities include:
- Enhanced Wellbeing: Strengthening internal employee support and wellbeing programmes.
- Operational Sustainability: Advancing green initiatives across all managed facilities operations.
- Community Deepening: Expanding the company’s contribution to local social causes and community projects.
The leadership at Envirotech FM believes this milestone will strengthen the long-term resilience of the business while adding significant value to client partnerships, particularly as ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) requirements become increasingly central to FM contracts.
