Total Environmental Compliance (TEC), part of Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG), has completed a major water system upgrade at a modern secondary school to resolve ongoing pressure and temperature issues that were affecting day-to-day operations.
Built in 2019, the school had experienced persistent problems with inconsistent water pressure—recorded at just 1.5 bar—and temperature variances exceeding the recommended 2°C threshold. These issues posed challenges to both comfort and compliance in a busy educational environment.
Following a detailed site survey and technical assessment, TEC’s team designed and installed a tailored solution to overcome the system’s limitations. Central to the upgrade was the integration of an 11,717-litre Cold Water Storage Tank (CWST) and a twin variable speed vertical booster pump set—specifically configured to operate within limited floor space.
The results have delivered measurable improvements. Water pressure has more than doubled to a consistent 3.5 bar across the estate, and temperature variation is now within the required specification, supporting safer and more efficient operations for students and staff alike.
Crucially, the project was completed on time and within budget—highlighting TEC’s capacity to deliver complex water hygiene and engineering solutions in the education sector.
With expertise in managing water safety, Legionella compliance and environmental risk, TEC continues to support schools and public sector clients in maintaining critical infrastructure to the highest standards.
