Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has secured a contract to provide specialist fire safety solutions at a retirement housing complex in Surrey.
The building, constructed in 1988, will undergo a programme of fire door replacements delivered by experts from PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd. The work presents particular challenges due to the needs of residents, many of whom are elderly, vulnerable or living with dementia. Careful planning will ensure disruption is kept to a minimum and residents remain safe and secure throughout the project.
Maintaining fire safety during the works is critical, with considerations including temporary door removal, restricted access, and the logistical challenges of working in a live environment with narrow corridors and high daily footfall. Close coordination with care staff will support the smooth running of the project around resident routines, medication rounds and mealtimes.
PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd is the largest of the Group’s five divisions, delivering a wide range of services including fire risk assessments, fire detection and alarm systems, and fire suppression solutions such as sprinkler systems, dry and wet risers, fire hydrant testing and extinguishers.
