This week was a week of significant deal announcements. Mitie announced it had been awarded a new ยฃ500m IFM contract with the Cumbria Consortium. The deal has an initial term of five years and involves all FM services across all sites, including Sellafield, Cumbria and Warrington.
Pareto FM also announced a contract with CrossCountry Trains. The hard services contract involved, water, fire, air conditioning and H&S planned maintenance services.
EQUANS has extended its partnership with Birmingham City Council. The partnership will see EQUANS delivering planned and responsive repairs, maintenance and refurbishment to more than 40,000 council owned properties.
In business, Atlas FM welcomed Salisbury Group to its company after an acquisition of the group was completed. This move means Atlas will be ยฃ160m turnover company employing 8,500 people.
Barnsdales Group also announced a year of record turnover. Founded in 1905, the business has seen revenues triple over five years.
Sustainability now and Pinnacle Group has announced its new sustainability commitment. The published Carbon Reduction Plan details how it will minimise emissions over the next decade.
And finally, BaxterStory has partnered with charity Social Bite to open its first coffee shop in London. The coffee shop will offer full time employment to those from the homeless community and aims to make a significant charitable difference in the region.
