OCS Group‘s Global Head of Cleaning, Yvonne Taylor has been announced as the new Chairman of the Business Services Association (BSA) Cleaning Committee.
Yvonne has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the cleaning industry, she is a BICSc (British Institute of Cleaning Science) Council Member, a Board Director of the CSSA (Cleaning and Support Services Association) and a Chartered Practitioner of the WCEC (Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners).
Yvonne said: “I would like to say a special thank you to Mel Richardson, the outgoing Chairman, who worked tirelessly to achieve recognition for the cleaning industry. I am very happy that Mel has agreed to stay on as Deputy Chairman.
“My objectives during my tenure are to:
- Continue the fantastic work Mel began with regards to the Cleaning Operative Induction Scheme which is supported by the CSSA and BCC.
- To work with relevant bodies to legislate the use of colour coded cleaning and janitorial equipment in the UK.
- To work closely with the BSA Human Resources and Apprenticeships, Skills and Training Committees to drive recruitment and education within the cleaning industry, and to work with other councils and associations to drive standards within the industry.
