IWFM is excited to announce that the IWFM Mentoring programme is now live and accepting mentees who want to gain the skills, knowledge, and confidence to perform at a higher level via impartial, non-judgmental guidance and support.
IWFM Mentoring is a personalised, one-to-one career support service which it is providing as an inclusive benefit for members holding a professional grade and those with a complimentary one-year membership as part of their IWFM qualification.
Accessing the service as a mentee is as simple as logging in to your IWFM account and clicking on the ‘IWFM Mentoring’ button. Once IWFM receives your request, it will pair you with a mentor who has the knowledge, experience, and skills to help you learn, shape your career, and grow into the professional you want to be.
The benefits of becoming a mentee include:
- receiving guidance on advancing your career, achieving your goals, and overcoming challenges
- gaining support in developing your knowledge and skills in line with the IWFM Professional Standards
- accessing impartial advice and an alternative perspective
- having a non-judgemental sounding board for your ideas.

Joathan Nobbs, IWFM Director of Membership and Partnerships, said: ‘Our recent listening exercise revealed mentoring as the number one service our members wanted when we asked how IWFM could boost their professional development. As the Institute enters its fourth decade, IWFM Mentoring is a powerful proof point for our mission to empower members to upskill and reach their potential for a rewarding, impactful career.
‘It’s already proving popular with well over 100 mentors so far registered to help our members with the benefit of their experience. I would strongly urge IWFM members to log in to the IWFM website and register with the scheme to access this new invaluable source of support.’
