Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been contracted to deliver specialist electrical services at a highly anticipated new ride at Thorpe Park.
At 236 feet, Project Exodus will become the UK’s tallest rollercoaster since Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s Big One was opened in 1993. Officially named Hyperia, the UK’s tallest and fastest rollercoaster is due to open in September 2024.
Thorpe Park, formerly also known as Thorpe Park Resort, is a theme park located in the village of Thorpe between the towns of Chertsey and Staines-upon-Thames in Surrey, 20 miles (32 km) southwest of Central London. It is operated by Merlin Entertainments and includes rides, themed cabins and live events.
In this contract, engineers from PTSG Electrical Services Ltd will install a new lightning protection system at one of the many residential developments. This will provide protection for the structure and all users in the event of an electrical storm.
