One of the directors from the HSE (Health, Safety and Environment) department of Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has completed a Workplace Wellbeing Lead Training course. This builds on the Group’s proactive approach of having a nationwide network of qualified health and wellbeing specialists available for its 3,000 people.
PTSG’s work culture is built on ensuring everyone is treated with respect, dignity, and issues such as discrimination, and harassment are not tolerated. A positive wellbeing culture ensures that staff have manageable workloads and as a group we should where possible, offer alternatives so that an acceptable work/life balance can be reached.
The role of a wellbeing lead typically involves the following responsibilities:
- developing workplace wellbeing strategies aligned with organisational objectives;
- designing and delivering wellbeing programmes and initiatives;
- improving organisational health and wellbeing literacy through training programmes; and
- providing leadership, advice, and support to a multidisciplinary team.
