City of London building banks on PTSG’s expertise

Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been contracted to deliver specialist Access & Safety works at a project involving a significant refurbishment of existing trading floors in a key city location.

Situated in Smithfield, close to St Paul’s Cathedral, the redevelopment of 20 Giltspur Street is transforming the former Bank of America building into a sustainable, modern office space. BAM Construction is the main contractor on this project. Its team is upgrading façade not only to enhance the building’s energy performance and visual appeal but also to contribute to the revitalisation of the area, complementing its architectural heritage.

In this contract, engineers from PTSG Access & Safety Ltd will be installing fall arrest systems and equipment to facilitate safe access to the roof for maintenance operatives to carry out work for the upkeep of the building.
Fall arrest equipment typically includes full body harnesses, horizontal lifelines and anchor points. The equipment is used to protect workers from serious injury or death in the event of a fall. Fall restraint systems stop workers from reaching the edge of a work area, so that no fall can occur. Systems include edge protection, guard rails and demarcation.
