Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been appointed to carry out specialist access and safety installations at the University of Huddersfield.
The university, which achieved university status in 1992, has a rich history dating back to the 19th century through a series of educational institutions committed to technical and scientific learning. Its main campus at Queensgate, just south-east of Huddersfield town centre, combines historic mill buildings with modern teaching facilities. More than £250 million has been invested in the development of the campus in recent years.
Under the new contract, engineers from PTSG Access & Safety Ltd will install a range of fall protection systems, including fixed guardrails, Mansafe systems and access ladders, across the upper levels of the university’s estate.
These systems will provide safe access for operatives undertaking maintenance, inspection and cleaning work at height, ensuring compliance with the Work at Height Regulations 2005.
