Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has signalled its ongoing commitment to colleague wellbeing by pledging to adopt BS 30480 – Suicide and the Workplace: Intervention, Prevention and Support for People Affected by Suicide.
The move positions PTSG among the first organisations in the UK to embrace the new national standard – the world’s first dedicated to suicide awareness, prevention and support in the workplace.
BS 30480 sets out clear, practical guidance to help employers create safer, more compassionate working environments. It covers essential areas such as raising awareness, early intervention, crisis response and postvention support for those affected.
PTSG said its decision reflects the Group’s belief that mental health must be prioritised with the same rigour as physical safety. The organisation emphasised the importance of open, non-judgemental conversations, acknowledging that while recognising signs of distress is not always easy, being willing to listen can make a meaningful difference.
