VINCI Facilities confirms five-year contract extension with Cancer Research UK

VINCI Facilities has confirmed a £10m five-year extension of its contract with Cancer Research UK (CRUK), delivering hard FM services across circa 600 locations across the CRUK estate.

CRUK and VINCI Facilities have worked together since 2013 and have established a strong partnership and culture. This is underlined by the VINCI Facilities team’s emphasis on consistency, responsiveness, providing meaningful social value and sustainability.

Building on the relationship and applying its latest digital systems, the VINCI Facilities team will continue to deliver planned and reactive mechanical, electrical and fabric maintenance, alongside some minor works, to high street stores, retail park superstores and warehouses.

Tony Raikes, VINCI Facilities managing director said: “Like many of our customers, CRUK places a lot of emphasis on sustainable delivery. One way we do this is by using the digital systems we have developed to improve intelligent reporting and dashboards for customer teams. This allows us to embed technology on site, which in turn helps us to self-deliver more efficiently, reduce our carbon footprint and add value. When we have such a strong relationship with a customer it allows us to go further, explore new ideas and make a tangible difference. Our ten-year relationship with CRUK has afforded us the opportunity to do exactly that.”

Nigel Wighton, CRUK Retail Estates Manager said: “VINCI Facilities and CRUK share a similar culture and that allows us to collaborate closely and focus on our priorities: keeping our shops, superstores and warehouses open and functioning to help raise funds to beat cancer sooner. The VINCI Facilities team know instinctively what is important to us, because they share similar goals – working towards net zero ambitions and delivering social value to our stakeholders.”
