Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has secured a contract to provide specialist fire safety systems at West Quay Marina in Poole, Dorset.
The regeneration project, approved by Poole Borough Council, will see the transformation of a former timber yard and industrial site into a new waterside community. Plans include around 300 new homes and 9,000 sq ft of commercial space for restaurants and shops alongside the marina.
Poole, known for its natural harbour, Blue Flag beaches, and thriving tourism sector, is also a key commercial port with links to the Channel Islands and northern France.
As part of the development, engineers from PTSG Fire Solutions Ltd will install a full commercial sprinkler system. Sprinklers remain the most effective method of fire suppression, with a success rate above 99%. They not only protect lives but also minimise damage and disruption by extinguishing fires before the fire service arrives, using significantly less water than traditional fire hoses.
Beyond sprinkler systems, PTSG provides a wide portfolio of fire safety services including fire detection and alarm systems, dry and wet risers, extinguishers, passive fire protection such as fire doors and glazing, and integrated security solutions.
