Tilbury Douglas has been appointed to deliver the £25m Emergency & Urgent Care Campus (E&UCC) at Stepping Hill Hospital by Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.
The scheme comprises a full-scale remodelling of the existing Emergency Department at the Hospital with approximately 2,600sqm of internal refurbishment, along with a remodelling of the existing ambulance drop-off to the Poplar Grove Road elevation. The project will also include 1,300 sqm of new build development, with 375 sqm of new non-clinical staff accommodation at first floor level.
Phil Shaw, Divisional Director for the North West at Tilbury Douglas, commented: “Working collaboratively, we will ensure to sustainably deliver this much-needed project to a high quality and according to national operational standards. Once completed, the local community will really benefit from the new facilities.”
