PTSG to go to work at Robert Gordon University

Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has been successful in tendering for a contract to provide specialist access and safety services at one of the two universities in the city of Aberdeen.

Robert Gordon University, commonly called RGU, is a public university in the city of Aberdeen, Scotland. It became a university in 1992 and originated from an educational institution founded in the 18th century by Robert Gordon, a prosperous Aberdeen merchant, and various institutions which provided adult and technical education in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

It became a university in 1992, and now mostly offering day classes to full-time students. Unlike some modern universities in the UK which were created following the government reforms of 1992, it has never been a polytechnic, which were never part of the Scottish education system.

Engineers from PTSG Access & Safety Ltd will deliver the testing and maintenance of fall protection equipment at the different buildings that comprise Robert Gordon University. Working at height is at the core of many of PTSG’s specialist services, including the installation, testing and maintenance of fall protection equipment. Safety forms the basis of all activities of the Group’s engineers and if a task can’t be performed safely, they don’t do it – or find a safe alternative. This approach led to the award of ten RoSPA Golds between 2010 and 2020.
