Morgan Sindall Property Services’ Social Value Report Showcases Record Results

Morgan Sindall Property Services (MSPS) has published its annual Social Value Report, showcasing the positive contribution it made across local communities during 2022-23.

MSPS created a record £7.4 million of wellbeing last year, representing tangible, quantifiable help and support for residents and communities during one of the most challenging years in recent times. This means that for every £1 it spent, the organisation delivered £30 of social value.

The social and economic aftermath of the pandemic, the cost-of-living crisis, climate change and rising energy costs all continue to have damaging effects on residents and local communities.  MSPS aims to support those who are impacted the most. They  provide practical, responsive support and solutions for people, adding value by giving them hope and confidence to move forward and access opportunities.

MSPS’ diverse range of initiatives are structured under four key themes:

  • Community training and employment
  • Engagement with schools and young people
  • Charity partnerships
  • Giving back through volunteering.

The report details activities undertaken under each of these at local level, highlighting the powerful, lasting impacts that programmes have had on residents and communities across the country. These include enabling residents to access and secure sustainable employment, initiatives to support those with a wide range of mental and physical health challenges, and programmes to enhance social mobility and wellbeing.

Speaking about the report, Head of Social Value, Helen Sheen, said: “We have a clear vision for delivering social value, to maximise the positive impacts our programmes have on residents and communities who need them the most.  Working closely with clients and community partners allows us to be responsive and tailor our approach to support specific needs and priorities at a local level, and constantly evolve our offer as circumstances and priorities change.”
