FM service provider Vinci Facilities has been awarded a one-year interim FM contract with the British Red Cross to manage more than 460 shops and offices across the country.
Starting in September this year, the company has been responsible for FM service delivery across the entire British Red Cross estate.
The contract has a large scope of works including planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and managing the helpdesk. British Red Cross stated that it was looking for an FM partner to provide a leading FM service to its UK estate.
It was awarded the contract following a condensed tender process and reported that it works with a number of clients within the retail sector.
The new contract will allow the business to expand its presence within the sector and broaden its expertise across the client’s diverse, non-retail portfolio.
Director Paul Cottam said: “This new contract is a reflection of our experience in the retail and charity sectors and the work is a chance to further demonstrate our expertise in hard FM and our team’s commitment to making a difference to the community we serve. We very much look forward to this partnership with the British Red Cross.”
British Red Cross head of property Andy Martin said:
“For the vast majority of people our retail premises are our literal shop front and it’s hugely important they’re in the right hands. Charity shops are the backbone of the British Red Cross. They are how much of the public encounters us and they host so many of our wonderful volunteers. We’re pleased to put our trust in Vinci Facilities to take care of our precious charity shops.”
