Leading compliance and energy assessment provider, Green Zone Surveys, has successfully qualified a further two surveyors, to assist businesses with the adoption of energy efficiency principles and procedures across the UK.
Project Surveyors, Nathan James and Jordan Riding, have successfully gained qualifications in Display Energy Certificates and commercial Energy Performance Certificates, a significant milestone in the journey towards becoming chartered energy managers.
The two surveyors have successfully completed their ABBE Level 4 Diploma in Non-Domestic Energy Assessment (EPCs) and ABBE Level 3 Diploma in Operational Ratings (DECs) courses respectively, in partnership with Elmhurst Energy.
The qualifications will enhance the surveyors’ knowledge and application of energy assessment principles and allow them to offer leading advice and guidance to businesses across the nation.
Green Zone’s Technical Manager, Ben Palmer, said: “We are very pleased that Nathan and Jordan have expanded their knowledge and professional qualifications.
“This will allow them to complement our already extensively qualified team with a larger variety of assessors available to us.”
The Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) course is designed to educate graduates around the regulations and legislation regarding the Energy Performance for Buildings and other appropriate guidelines, as well as guiding through the government approved software for producing EPCs.
Project Surveyor, Nathan James, said: “The training was very insightful and gave me a better understanding of EPCs as a whole and broadened my knowledge on building structures which can be helpful in all aspects of the job.
“Completing this course will not only help me in my path toward becoming a fully chartered energy manager in the future, but it also benefits Green Zone Surveys too.
“I think the team we have right now is very strong and can only become better with more training and experience, allowing us to take on a greater number and size of projects, which is a positive step toward further growth.”
Meanwhile, the Display Energy Certificate (DEC) training provides the fundamentals of producing DECs, learning how to use various site systems, including OrCalc, and allowing participants to produce a portfolio with live example certificates.
Project surveyor, Jordan Riding, said: “The DEC course has broadened my knowledge of key points to look for when conducting the survey, with that experience being transferable to my colleagues while they train up; this in turn means the quality of our reports stand above other companies.”
Green Zone Surveys prides itself in offering an extensive and successful career path for new starters in their Technical Department, allowing them to study towards higher qualifications and accreditation.
The building compliance and energy assessment experts continue to invest in their in-house team of highly trained and professionally qualified technical staff, providing their clients with unparalleled levels of expertise and customer service.

“The additional training opportunities we offer our Technical Team are no exception and we will persevere to give our surveyors every opportunity of achieving their goals.”
