The Logical Group, a leading UK-based provider of innovative and sustainable energy solutions, has announced its latest solar energy case study, which highlights the remarkable energy savings achieved for the Cardiff-based company Biocatalysts Ltd, a leading innovator in biotechnology and manufacturer of speciality enzymes for the food and beverage, and life science industries.
Logical Group has worked with Biocatalysts Ltd on the installation of this recent solar project which is designed to enhance their energy efficiency and advance their sustainability goals.
Logical’s custom-engineered solar solution features a high-efficiency 161 kWp DC array, capable of delivering 137 MWh of clean, renewable energy annually.
Beyond optimising energy use, this installation is expected to reduce CO2 emissions by 26.62 tonnes each year—equivalent to the environmental impact of planting 1,223 trees. By harnessing solar power, Biocatalysts Ltd is reinforcing its commitment to sustainability.
This project underscores the significant benefits of integrating solar energy in commercial settings, demonstrating how tailored solutions can enhance efficiency and sustainability while setting a benchmark for industry-wide adoption.

As a result of this installation, the business has been able to increase its sustainability credentials and reduce carbon emissions by at least 26 tonnes per year, whilst also making long term savings in our energy bills which has a big impact on our bottom line.
