On Wednesday 10 August, 20 members from Savills EMEA operations, Strategic Advisory EMEA and European Capital Markets teams volunteered at Stave Hill Ecological Park.
The 5.2-acre nature area is located on Stave Dock in the centre of the former Surrey Commercial Dock, in Canada Water, just over the river from Canary Wharf.
Stave Hill is a mosaic of woodland, wildflower meadows and waterways, and volunteers spent the day completing a range of tasks focused around enhancing the site’s natural biodiversity, including clearing overgrowth, trimming trees, chopping logs and pruning.
Sarah Thorley, Associate, Strategic Advisory EMEA and one of the organisers of the event, says: “We had a very rewarding (and very tiring) day volunteering at Stave Hill. It was a great chance to bring together colleagues to give something back to our community and help enhance the biodiversity of this site in central London.”
