Ranger Fire and Security has announced its acquisition of Limerick-based Prestige Detection Systems Ltd (PDSL), further strengthening the Group’s presence in Ireland.
Established in 2005, PDSL is a leading provider of fire, security and emergency response systems for businesses and community service providers throughout Ireland, with a particular focus on the Munster region and Galway. The company has built a strong reputation for technical expertise and compliance with the highest design and installation standards.
PDSL’s experienced team works across a diverse range of clients. Its reputation for quality services and long-term customer partnerships aligns closely with Ranger’s strategy for building a network of trusted, customer-focused fire and security service providers across both the UK and Ireland.
Managing Director Dave Enright, who brings over 35 years of experience in the fire and security industry, will remain in post along with the rest of the leadership team, continuing to oversee operations and enhance team capabilities in order to continually improve the customer experience.
The acquisition of PDSL will bring significant strategic benefits for Ranger, including:
- Geographic expansion into Ireland’s west coast, strengthening coverage in Munster and Galway.
- Enhanced service offerings, adding active fire and electronic security capabilities that complement Ranger’s existing services and enable greater cross-selling opportunities.

PDSL’s addition marks Ranger’s twelfth acquisition since its launch in early 2024, and its fourth in Ireland, following the acquisitions of KSS Fire Suppression, B-Safe Group and Aqua Fire Prevention.
