Premier Technical Services Group Ltd (PTSG) has achieved a landmark moment by becoming the 1,000th organisation in the Yorkshire and Humber region to formally sign the UK Armed Forces Covenant.
This step highlights PTSG’s continued commitment to supporting veterans, reservists and their families, providing vital career opportunities for those with a military background.

The signing ceremony was held at PTSG’s Castleford headquarters today [05 May 2026], where the Reserve Forces and Cadets Association for Yorkshire and the Humber (RFCA YH) was also represented. Attendees included senior figures from PTSG’s leadership team, including Greg Ward (CEO), Liam Simpson (Group HSE Director) and Kate Williamson (Group HR Director). The event was particularly significant for several of PTSG’s employees, many of whom are former Armed Forces members now contributing to the company’s success.
With a workforce of over 2,700 professionals, PTSG delivers services to more than 90,000 customers and manages a portfolio of more than 400,000 buildings across the UK. The company’s foundation rests on the core values of discipline, technical excellence, and teamwork – qualities that closely mirror the skills instilled in members of the Armed Forces.
From electrical engineers and fire safety specialists to compliance professionals and rope access technicians, PTSG recognises the value that military training brings to the built environment. The company’s diverse workforce benefits from the technical expertise and transferable skills that many veterans, reservists, and service families bring with them into civilian roles.
By signing the Armed Forces Covenant, PTSG has formalised its commitment to:
- Supporting veterans, reservists, and service families
- Creating clear pathways into skilled employment
- Recognising and valuing the expertise developed through military service
Greg Ward, CEO of PTSG, commented: “Signing the Armed Forces Covenant is an honour. The professionalism and dedication embodied by the Armed Forces resonate deeply with our values as a company. We’re proud to offer meaningful opportunities where those who have served can continue to develop and succeed.”
Liam Simpson, Group HSE Director and a former senior manager in the British Army, remarked: “Reaching the milestone of becoming the 1,000th signatory in our region is a proud moment for PTSG.
The qualities cultivated in the Armed Forces – capability, trust and reliability – are integral to how we operate as a business. Our work daily aligns perfectly with the training and expertise veterans bring to the table.”
Lieutenant Colonel Jim Dowle, Head of Army Engagement – North of England, said: “Reaching 1,000 Armed Forces’ Covenant signatories in Yorkshire and Humber is a significant milestone and we are delighted that PTSG is marking that moment. Organisations like PTSG play a vital role in supporting the Armed Forces’ community, providing meaningful employment opportunities and recognising the value and high standards that service personnel bring to civilian roles. We look forward to working together with RFCA YH and PTSG to build on this commitment.”
Oliver Smith, Recruitment Manager at PTSG, added: “Our commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant is about recognising the potential in those who have served. The leadership, resilience, and problem-solving skills of military personnel are exactly what we need at PTSG. By formalising this commitment, we’re opening doors to rewarding careers where these talents can continue to thrive.”
For PTSG, signing the Covenant represents more than just a symbolic gesture – it is a reflection of the company’s ongoing dedication to building an inclusive and skilled workforce. Through continuous investment in training and development, PTSG remains committed to ensuring that veterans and other military personnel have the support they need as they transition into long-term careers within the civilian workforce.
