Rentokil, the UK’s leading pest control provider, has launched T-Rex Connect, its new digitally connected solution for controlling rats, designed to help businesses identify and tackle rat activity.
Representing the next generation of pest management technology, the solution supports businesses across food production, retail, warehousing and hospitality, helping them maintain high standards of pest prevention and site hygiene.
T-Rex Connect is part of Rentokil’s PestConnect monitoring system, which provides 24/7 digital monitoring and rapid notification of rodent activity. By combining continuous digital monitoring with highly effective rodent control, businesses can identify activity earlier, and pest control technicians can respond faster, reducing the risk of infestations becoming established.
In internal testing* conducted by Rentokil across a variety of environments and locations, T-Rex Connect was found to be more than four times as effective at successful captures compared to several leading, readily available alternative snap traps.
The solution also integrates seamlessly with Rentokil’s Eradico bait station housing system. Together, they provide a purpose-built trapping solution designed to support effective and efficient pest management.
Paul Blackhurst, Technical Academy Head at Rentokil Pest Control, comments: “Businesses are increasingly looking for smarter, more proactive ways to manage pest risks. With greater scrutiny around hygiene, food safety and compliance, waiting until there’s visible evidence of rodent activity is no longer enough.
“T-Rex Connect has been developed to meet this need, combining continuous digital monitoring with highly effective rodent control to help businesses identify activity sooner, respond faster and prevent infestations from becoming established. The product forms part of a wider connected solution that provides greater visibility of pest activity across sites and supports a more proactive approach to pest management.”
Rentokil says demand for connected pest management solutions continues to grow as businesses seek greater visibility of pest activity and more detailed reporting capabilities across their sites. The company advises businesses to remain alert for common signs of rodent activity, including droppings, gnaw marks, damaged packaging, scratching noises and evidence of nesting materials.
