High Performance Flooring fit for London City Lionesses

A high-performance training environment for a top women and girls’ football club demands a robust, heavy-duty, shock absorbing, anti-slip training surface.  CMS Danskin Acoustics’ REGUPOL everroll® multitile has met that challenge at Women’s Super League club London City Lionesses’ training base.

Working with designers and installers Absolute Performance, CMS Danskin Acoustics supplied REGUPOL everroll® multitile 40mm for the London City Lionesses’ temporary training facility.  The space is required during the development of the club’s new 28-acre Performance Campus at Cobdown Park, Ditton.  Scheduled for completion in 2027, the site will be one of the most advanced women’s football training campuses in the world.

“Though this is a semi-permanent building, it is important that the flooring solution delivers the same performance standards expected in a high-performance training environment without compromise,” explains Harry Taffota-Nash, CMS Danskin Acoustics’ Head of Leisure.  “Our REGUPOL gym tiles provide a durable, resilient surface capable of supporting everything from strength and conditioning work through to the demands of daily athlete use.”

Extra-robust for heavy-duty training, 40mm everroll® multitile provide approximately 44.2 per cent force reduction.  The higher the reduction rating, the more ‘forgiving’ the surface.  High levels of shock absorption protect the subfloor from damage, but, importantly, provide players with a cushioning and comfortable training surface to help protect joints.  Everroll® multitile is also slip resistant.

“This floor covering is good for pro sport.  No doubt the London City Lionesses will test it with intense work outs, so a high-performance product was essential,” says Harry Taffota-Nash.

Tony Buchanan, owner of Absolute Performance, which managed the project, adds “We have worked with CMS Danskin Acoustics for nearly 10 years supplying their flooring products into high performance gyms in professional sports facilities, schools, colleges, universities and private clubs.  The quality of product and, most importantly, the high level of customer service is first class.”

CMS Danskin Acoustics provides bespoke and off the shelf acoustic, reverberation, vibration, impact-resistant, shock absorbing and anti-slip floor treatments for gyms, sports centres, fitness suits and anywhere requiring high-performing flooring for sports and fitness.  Leisure projects include a major gym refurbishment at the University of Edinburgh, Berkeley Group’s Riverside Club at Heron Wharf, London E14 and new build gyms/refurbishments for David Lloyd Clubs.
